Privacy Policy — Hingeflow

1. Quick summary

Hingeflow is a mobile app for managing door schedules and hardware specifications. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, and how you can delete or export your data.

2. Data we collect

• Account info: email, name, password (when you create an account).
• Project data & uploads: project names, addresses, notes, and specification documents (PDFs) you upload.
• Extracted content: text and table data extracted from your uploaded PDFs.
• Technical & usage data: device model, OS version, app usage, crash logs and diagnostic data.

3. Why we collect it

• To provide core app features (process PDFs, store and sync projects, authentication).
• To improve and maintain the app (analytics, error reporting, performance).
• To respond to support requests and notify about important updates.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the app, including:

• Supabase — backend database, authentication, file storage.
• OpenAI — used only to process/extract text from PDFs and cropped table images you upload.

These providers are contractually limited to use your data only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose data when required by law (court orders, legal process) or to protect rights and safety.

5. Security & data retention

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with industry-standard protections.
• We retain account and project data while your account is active. Log/diagnostic data is retained short-term for troubleshooting.
• If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days except where legal obligations require longer retention (backups may persist briefly).

6. Your choices

• You can view, export (JSON/CSV), update, and delete your projects and account data via the app.
• To exercise data rights or request deletion, email: dev.israel.lopez@gmail.com. We will respond promptly and no later than 30 days where applicable.

7. Children's privacy

Hingeflow is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. App store disclosures

Google Play — Data Safety: We collect account info, project data and files, and usage/diagnostic data. Data may be shared with Supabase and OpenAI for app functionality and processing.

Apple App Store — App Privacy: Data linked to you: account info, project data, files you upload. Data not linked to you: anonymized usage statistics and crash reports. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
